This guy is gonna be my replacement character for Mo. NOT TEI. DON'T FREAK OUT. Mo was my 2nd character, and, as much as I do love his design, he's just boriiiing. And I'd been meaning to switch him out for awhile, I just needed an idea for a new character. lD;

Anyways, I had been considering a Serperior for a while, and almost didn't go with one because Jade made her Ekans and I didn't want people to think I was copying her or anything. Since I was gonna try working on him around that time. ;; But she said to just do it anyways, so I finally came up with this guy.

I don't like too much how his app art turned out but, eh, I can change it later. :I

I'll get infos up for him in a bit, I just didn't want to bother with Stash since it's mean. ;A;

History:

Lance was hatched in the little town of Verdanturf. His mother a Servine and his father a Seviper. As a Snivy, young Lance already showed signs of being... a bit different to other kids his age. He didn't enjoy going out side to play, or to even play with other kids. He was rather secluded. Of course his parent's worried that he wasn't being social enough, and tried to take him out on play dates and other things when they could. In the end he would just sit as far away from the other kids as he could. If he was made to be outside he would typically be seen under a shady tree or the side of a building.

When he learned to read his spent even more time indoors, just reading. He'd spend so much of it, his parent's from time to time forgot he was inside because he was so quiet when he read. His parent's were glad he was so intelligent... but were still worried about his social skills. They got an idea, a way they thought could get him to at least interact with other kids. For one of his birthdays, they got him a Chess Set. The now Servine was very intrigued by the game his parent's had placed before him. After his father showed him how to play, the two began a game. Lance seemed to be a natural. He rather enjoyed the strategic knowledge needed for such a game. However his father did get him into Checkmate on his first game, and the next game after that. Lance would not give up. He would keep playing until he got good. And after a few games he finally did beat his father.

With his newly acquired interested, he kept practicing. He wanted to be the best at this game. As he got older, his parent's entered him into Chess Competitions. Of course this meant traveling away from his little hometown, but he didn't mind. His early ones he didn't always win, but he kept getting better. And better. Until a loss for him was rare. He kept getting higher and higher in ranks. And finally he won one of the largest Chess Competitions he could get into. It was a great success for him. A great sense of achievement. And he would continue to win competition and competition again and again as he got older, and better.

Now a Surperior, he had won nearly every competition he could enter himself into. He had nearly every trophy, and was very, very full of himself now. He'd gone from the quiet, and intelligent Snivy he was as a child to a snooty, stuck-up Serperior. Not that he didn't have a reason to be rather boastful, but it got rather annoying fast. And he would refuse to take no for an answer, and loosing was not something he would allow. His parent's were starting to worry yet again about what kind of Pokemon he was becoming. They thought maybe sending him to a private school of sorts, that might have kids with similar interests as him, and possibly at his skill level for him to be around might be good for him. Allow him to change for the better even. So they sent an application to Armonia. Lance was actually quite for this, as if their were others there that he could actually feel equal to.

Hobbies:

Reading of course, he doesn't get to do it as much as he used to, but he does enjoy 'sitting' down to read a good book.

He actually plays video games. But not just FPS's or any kinds of games, he prefers strategic games and such, games that can be a challenge for him to beat.

Shining his many trophies.

You were probably expecting to see Chess here. But to Lance Chess is no mere hobby. It is a way of life.

At least competitive chess he wouldn't see as a hobby, but he will play games against himself for fun.

His glasses are optional. He rotates between them and contacts. He is nearsighted, however.

He dresses the way he does to express his love for chess.

He keeps a white Bishop piece with him as a 'good luck' kind of trinket. Not that he needs that. He's too good for that.

As stated before, winning is everything to him. So much that, if he's playing a game and he knows he's going to loose, he'll purposely knock the board over or something. This happens in anything he's doing. Playing a game with him competitively? He'll 'accidentally' unplug the system if you're going to beat him.
