Kind of feel obligated to at least give the place a try, after all if it wasn't for PKMC I wouldn't be where I am today, have the friends that I do. My first RP group and all that, after all.

So I've already moved Lucius elsewhere, and he just wasn't a good Crossing style character. So, at first I was contemplating re-using Kris, but then. I remembered the Shiny Slurpuff baby I wanted to make, and inspiration struck yeh.

Personality:

Valentine is a clumsy little pup. As you can imagine he has a lot of accidents at work if he's not particularly careful... hopefully he can actually keep this job. He's lost many before because of his clumsiness. That doesn't deter him as he's very dedicated to his line of work, and learning what he can. Nothing will stand in his way of him accomplishing his dream! ...well almost nothing. He can be a bit shy when it comes to meeting new people, or a little awkward. He's a bit self-conscious about his appearance and how other will judge him. But once he befriends someone he opens up quite a bit. He loves to cook meals for his friends. He loves to cook for others at any given chance.

History:

Valentine got his name from the Holiday he was born on. It was quite the surprise to his parents as you can imagine. But he was their Valentine gift, and they adored their son. And spoiled him to bits. While they weren't incredibly rich, they did their best to care for him. He got what he wanted, ate what he wanted, and they rarely scolded him. Though not that they had too, he was a rather well behaved child. Like all children he had his accidents, knocked over a glass ornament, spilling his juice, all things you can imagine a young child doing.

...but as he grew his clumsiness never seemed to go away. His parents thought once he got the hang of walking, of moving around that he'd stop falling over. But that wasn't the case. He still knocked things over, still spilled things, tripped and fell on his face often times. Eventually they just come to accept their clumsy son. They loved to bits and saw nothing wrong with him. There really wasn't. He just had a little quirk that they learned to love.

As he entered his teenage years and dealt with school, he learned how kids could be cruel. He wasn't the most fit, and as you can imagine he often got made fun of due to it. It was a mix of his species and his eating habits, which had been allowed by his parents. They would make him eat his vegetables at dinner... but they would also let him have a cupcake before and after if he asked for it. He never had a problem with it, nor did his parents who were also Slurpuff... but kids are cruel. And it made him incredibly self-conscious when it came to any kind of social situation, which carried on as he grew.

As he got older, he decided to get a job. The easiest job for a high school student to obtain would be being a waiter. He managed to get a job at one of the fancier restaurants in Lumiose. He loved the smells and the people he got to meet there, when they were nice. Though... he did have his accidents. At first, the employers figured he was nervous. Was the kids first job after all... but eventually it to a point where it was costing them money. Dropping food, breaking plates and such. He got fired. That didn't deter the pup, oh no. He got another job and another job. Eventually he got a job at a fairly popular restaurant owned by a fairly popular family of Flygons. The owner was a woman, and she was very kind. While Valentine worked there, she caught him after hours cooking in the kitchen. She saw Valentine's willingness to learn, and nurtured it. Taking him under her wing she taught him everything she could. And the boy was talented. She would've hired him, but he was so young, and had so much to learn. So instead she told him to go out into the world, learn all he could. It's what her and her brother did before opening their own restaurants. And it was quite the enlightening trip. He could learn about cultures and recipes that even she didn't know. And the pup took her words to heart.

Extras:

- Currently commutes to work, as he's still working as a Waiter.
- He's based on my Shiny in-game Slurpuff named Valentine... who I also hatched on Valentine's Day. :'3
- The Flygons mentioned in the story might be familiar to those that keep up with my characters and their relatives. ;D
- Has a great sense of smell and impeccable taste.
- His last name was inspired by Buddy Valastro, was going to use Duff Goldman's last name but it didn't sound right. They're both famous bakers.
